遊び心をテーマに布を織る。
沖縄の伝統技法である絣と両面浮花織、緯浮花織 を用いて、景色やフルーツをイメージしたオリジナルのデザインを制作し、手に取り、見て、笑顔になれるような織物を目指す。
世代を超えて繋いでいく織物の可能性を探るべく、絣や花織という沖縄の伝統技法を用いて、新生児用セレモニードレスなどの制作に取り組む。
The theme is “playfulness”.
I create using Okinawan traditional weaving techniques such as ikat, Ryomen Uki Hanaori（double-faced float weave）, Yoko Uki Hana Ori（supplementary weft weave） and Rroton Ori（float weave）
The designs are inspired by Okinawa’s scenery and fruits, hoping it to be joyful for those who see and feel my works.
In order to explore the possibilities of textiles that can be passed on from generation to generation, I have been working on ceremonial dresses for newborn babies using the traditional Okinawan techniques of ikat and hanaori（float weave）.

ぬくもり。
絣で空、太陽、植物を、左袖の手結絣は、雲と空の間を想像し、デザインしました。
緯浮花織の白の輪は、あたたかい風や空気が漂う様子を表現した。
Warmth
I designed the sky, the sun, and plants with ikat, and the hand-tied ikat on the left sleeve is the space between the clouds and the sky. The white circle of the weft floating flower weave is an image of warm wind and air.

やしらみ花織「春蚕」

春に始まる蚕の飼育のことを「春蚕(シュンサン)」と言います。
また、蚕の糞のことを「蚕沙(サンシャ)」と呼びます。
漢方薬としても利用しますが、染料でもあります。
この作品を通して、自然からもらった色・季節を感じていただけると幸いです。
The breeding of silk moths that begins in spring is called “spring breed of silkworm”.
In addition, silk moth droppings are called “sansya”.
It is also used as a Chinese herbal medicine, but it is also a dye.
I hope that you will feel the colors and seasons received from nature through this work.

織物は、素材の組み合わせや、さまざまな条件を変えることによって、全く表情の違う布を織ることができます。
私の生まれ育った地である沖縄は、織物の文化が根強く、技法も豊かです。
私は主に絹や木綿を使用し、そして「絣」の技法を中心に、
織物を通して、布という平面から立体的な空間構成を目指した制作をしています。
By changing the combination of materials and various conditions, weaving fabrics with completely different expressions can be woven.
Okinawa, where I was born and raised, has a strong textile culture and abundant techniques.
I mainly use silk and cotton, and focus on the technique of "Kasuri(ikat)".
Through woven fabrics, we aim to create a three-dimensional space from the plane of cloth.

「雨がやんだら」
沖縄の織物で有名な技法のひとつである「絣」。
部分的に糸を染めて、柄を構成します。
少しずつ雨が上がり、だんだんと晴れていく空の様子を絣で表現しました。
絣の動きとカラフルな色を通して、沖縄の景色を感じていただけますように。
"Kasuri(Ikat)" is one of the famous techniques for textiles in Okinawa.
Partially dye the thread to form the pattern.
The ikat pattern expresses the appearance of the sky, where the rain gradually rises and the sky gradually clears up.
We hope that you can feel the scenery of Okinawa through the movement of ikat and the colorful colors.
